Scraps cares deeply about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services accessed through it provided by Scraps. The effective date for the validity of these terms is 18/05/2026; upon publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what data is collected about you by us, what this data is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us.

About data processing

Web shop software

WooCommerce Our web shop is developed with WooCommerce software. Personal data that you make available to us for the purpose of our services is shared with this party. WooCommerce has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on the agreement we have concluded with them, WooCommerce is obliged to take appropriate security measures. These measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. WooCommerce uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored. WooCommerce reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve its services.

Our web shop is developed with WooCommerce software; for our web hosting, we have chosen one.com. Personal data that you make available to us for the purpose of our services is shared with this party. one.com has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on the agreement we have concluded with them, one.com is obliged to take appropriate security measures, including SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent data loss.

We purchase web hosting and email services from one.com. One.com processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. obe.com has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data and is bound by a confidentiality agreement.

We use the services of One.com for our regular business email traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. One.com does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

Payment processors

For handling the payments in our web shop, we use the Stripe platform. Stripe processes your name, address, and city details, as well as your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Stripe has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Stripe reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and, in that context, share (anonymized) data with third parties. In the case of an application for deferred payment (credit facility), Stripe shares personal data and information regarding your financial position with credit rating agencies. All safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to parts of Stripe’s service for which they engage third parties. Stripe does not store your data longer than permitted by legal terms.

Shipping and logistics

When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of Bpost to carry out the deliveries. For this purpose, it is necessary that we share your name, address, and city details with Bpost. Bpost uses this data solely for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that Bpost engages subcontractors, Bpost also makes your data available to these parties.

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing We use your data exclusively for the benefit of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time—other than at your request—we will ask for your explicit permission. Your data is not shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all kept to confidentiality based on the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.

Automatically collected data Data collected automatically by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our services. This data (e.g., your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations In certain cases, Scraps may be held under a legal obligation to share your data in connection with government tax or criminal investigations. Retention periods We keep your data as long as you are a client of ours. This means we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also interpret this as a request to be forgotten. This also means we do not keep your data for longer than two years from the last contact moment or transaction, unless there is a legal justification. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must keep invoices with your (personal) data; we will therefore keep this data for as long as the applicable term runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents produced following your assignment.

Google Analytics Through our website, cookies are placed by the American company Google as part of the “Analytics” service.
